This is not about CAA, NRC or JNU violence because it has not remained that now. It is more a discussion of being rightist, leftist or centrist. It is not about freedom to choose any of the three sides, it’s now about a person being judged on basis of which side they are on. It’s not about respecting every perspective, it’s about laughing at others point of view because we are so
aware from all the social media handles we follow, driven actually but, while being aware! Ironic!
I share the rightist point of view but this article is not about glorifying my views but rather the
hypocrisy being faced. How difficult is it to understand that someone can have a view against
you, against the media, against the trend, against your whole belief system? How difficult is it to
understand that someone who is against the trend also has a LIBERAL platform to share his/her
views? How difficult is it to not laugh and make a mockery of a different point of view, because
people! They also have the right to share same stage in an “elite” talk show or debate.
Not at all difficult if your belief system as you say is actually based on absolute “LIBERALISM”
going by any common English dictionary ,this word works similar on all the three sides. The
whole idea in the society has become so negative, just of opposition, just of revolution. It’s not
about having an alternative solutions to issues but just a negative view for all the decisions. I
believe all the views are needed for a society to move ahead, but are we also really heading
towards negative to positive? Do we really have any alternate solution in mind if the protests
actually work? Or is it just opposition, which we are capable of? These are very basic questions
for every citizen of our nation to ask themselves before taking any step.
Going on the same lines atheism has not been of any help to humankind. Its negativity in the
purest form. Just proclaiming that there is no God, and basing the whole philosophy on the
belief in no God and give life to prove that point, while it has no effect on humankind’s
evolution. Life also needs something positive to move forward.
I have faced backlashes from people I have been very close with, hitting me real hard. That
bought the face of the liberal hypocrisy in front of my eyes. In today’s society, which talks about
individual freedom to views, people don’t hesitate from judging a person as a part of a group in
no time and mocking them with the knowledge which only speaks of complaints and no
solutions!
But no hard feelings! I pledge to be “liberal” to all the views but if I oppose I am sure to have
solutions rather than just complaints. I prefer a talk rather having an argument.
By this I want to question the very ideology of public discourse, why the trend is supposed to be
labelled always as intellectual? And against the trend stupid? Both share an equal space, right
and equal amount of effort in research. That’s the only parameter, nothing else. Listen to everyone ,not only the ones who are music to your ears, also the genre which has had no place
on your playlist.
Listen to the views like you listen to your vibrant playlists!
